Mrs. Beeton gives comprehensive information to the mistress of a Victorian household in maintaining a comfortable home. She includes many chapters on the art of cookery and sections on the duties of servants. She devotes the final chapters to the care and management of children, accidents and emergencies, and legal matters.

This children's classic of the Victorian period includes "The Mad Tea Party", a perfect introduction to tea parties.

Letters from Chester K. Leach to his wife, Anne, during the Civil War reveal this soldier's difficulties in day-to-day living and concerns about his family and farm at home in Vermont.

In commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of Bennington, a brief history of the town is presented through biographical sketches of fifty local residents. Many photographs are included.

This cleverly illustrated book presents a wide range of Victorian etiquette practices--from social introductions, to calling on friends, to proper behavior at dinner.

Sixteen-year-old Jane Peck, who was educated in Boston, has unexpected adventures in the Pacific Northwest as she seeks her childhood hero. She frequently remembers the proper behavior she was taught in Miss Hepplewhite's Young Ladies Academy and wonders how that was a preparation for the rough pioneer life she is experiencing.

Lizzie tells about the early years of the Hall and Park families in Vermont. She describes her own recollections of the family's trip to California in 1852, and what it was like growing up there. Photographs, many from the Park-McCullough House archive, are included.

Phelps delivered this speech at the Dedication of the Bennington Battle Monument, August 19, 1891. The book was illustrated by Eliza Hall Park McCullough and given to Edward Phelps for Christmas, 1891.

This volume records the historic background and events of August 19, 1891. It includes illustrations of places and of important dignitaries who were present on this day, as well as guest lists, speeches, parade participants, details of the banquet for 3500 people, and the contributions of the Hall, Park and McCullough families to this event.
