Oktoberfest – Rain or Shine
Bavarian food, great music, cold Oktoberfest beers (and wine) --- what more could you ask from an Oktoberfest? On the beautiful grounds of Historic Park McCullough, the event will take place rain or shine. Great weather – we’ll be outside under the tents, enjoying the beautiful Vermont foliage. Inclement weather – we’ll be in the historic Carriage Barn with its Rathskeller ambiance.
Regardless of the weather, there will be plenty of great food – bratwurst, Pork cutlets, potato pancakes, pierogies, apple strudel, and carrot cake to name just a few of the items on the menu. Our beer tent will be serving cold Oktoberfest beers and Riesling wine.
Live music will be provided by the Rymanowski Brothers. They are one of the Capital District’s most popular Oktoberfest bands. Their radio program can be heard on 88.3 FM (Albany, NY) So, come out and dance up a storm, or sit and enjoy the sounds.
You will also have an opportunity to purchase the commemorative beer glass, browse the stalls of craft vendors … or take a hayride, or tour Historic Park McCullough.
Bring the family; grab your friends or come alone, it will be a great way to spend the day … perhaps the last hurrah before we head indoors for the long winter.
The event, sponsored by the NorShaft Lions and Historic Park McCullough, takes place on Saturday, October 13 from 10 AM to 6 PM on the grounds of Historic Park McCullough, Park Street, North Bennington (one block west of the library).
