North Bennington, Vermont’s Park-McCullough, Historic Governor’s Mansion is one of New England's most significant and best-preserved Victorian mansions. The Halls, Parks, and McCulloughs were entrepreneurs, governors, philanthropists, and farmers, and contributed greatly to the community they so deeply cherished. As prominent citizens, political figures, and activists, they were even hosts to President Benjamin Harrison during the dedication of the Bennington Monument in 1891 over Vermont’s Centennial celebration.

Today, the structure helps to present the history of the region to visitors and school groups, while the grounds— open and free to the public 365 days a year—serve as a gathering space for recreation and community events.

The costs to maintain this historic property have increased significantly over the past few years, while so has the importance of the role the property plays, whether for wildflower walks, croquet on the lawn, or performing arts events in the carriage barn.
