The Bennington Bookshop, in partnership with the Park-McCullough, celebrates the release of International Book Prize Winner Daisy Rockwell’s new work “Alice Sees Ghosts!” Camille Guthrie, an accomplished poet and author of short stories, joins Rockwell in conversation.

Daisy Rockwell is an artist, author, and translator of both Urdu and Hindu literature based in Vermont. She has received the Vani Foundation Distinguished Translator Award, and her translations have been honored with the International Booker Prize, the Warwick Prize for Women in Translation, the MLA’s Aldo and Jeanne Scaglione Prize for Translation of a Literary Work, and the Wisconsin Prize for Poetry in Translation.
Camille Guthrie has authored four books of poetry: Diamonds, Articulated Lair: Poems for Louise Bourgeois, In Captivity, and The Master Thief. Her short stories and poems have been featured in many renowned newspapers, journals, and anthologies including The Sun, The Iowa Review, and The Best American Poetry 2019 & 2020. Guthrie has been awarded fellowships from MacDowell and the Yaddo Foundation. She received her MFA from Brown University and her BA from Vassar College. She currently resides in rural Vermont as Bennington College’s Director of Undergraduate Writing.
