Donate to the Annual fund Here

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Whether you live just around the corner, visit seasonally, or swing through only occasionally, your support is ever-present even when you are not. Thank you for considering the Park-McCullough House Association in this giving season.

We rely on our Annual Fund appeal to generate approximately 45% of yearly contributions. Our goal for this year is $75,000. These funds are necessary for building maintenance, property upkeep, programming, collections care, and so much more. Your generous end-of-year giving allows us to keep our grounds open to the public year-round while offering our buildings as gathering spaces and places to learn and engage.

    HISTORY

  • We welcomed a very special family member for a visit to the house and recorded an oral history of his memories there. We look forward to continuing to gather oral histories not only for archives but to share with the public.

  • The Collections Committee—a working group of dedicated volunteers—devoted months to organizing and staging our third-floor archives. While they look forward to continuing their work, their progress has prepared us to open the third floor as an add-on tour.

    EDUCATION

  • Students from the Village School of North Bennington and The School of Sacred Heart St. Francis Sales visited this fall. We’re excited to reinvigorate educational programming for regional youth. There’s no better motivator than to spend a few mornings with 4th, 6th, and 7th graders; history indeed comes to life through their interactions with the home!

    PRESERVATION

  • Centerline Architects completed a Facilities Conditions Assessment to help us identify imperative maintenance and prioritize our wish list. We’ve begun to seek out and apply for grants for our most necessary projects.

To help us focus our efforts in 2024 we’ve chosen a topic to inspire—women of the family and women in the community.

We’re excited to approach programming, exhibitions, content, education, and events through this lens, for the opportunity to study the women who helped to build our history. Who were they, who did they love, how did they live, and how do their contributions and legacies benefit and engage us today?

Just as remarkable an inquiry will be about the women who support our communities every day. While we showcase our past, we will highlight and celebrate those who nurture, teach, activate, lead, create, and connect with

us in our daily lives.

Join us in 2024! Bring your mothers and sisters and daughters. Bring your neighbors, family, and friends. Meet us on the lawn, in the billiard room, on the veranda, and in the Carriage Barn—it will be a fantastic year of honoring the women in our lives from past to present.

By giving to the 2023 Annual Fund, you are helping to ensure a vibrant 2024. Thank you for your consideration during this giving season. Please give what you can.

Thank you!
