Our latest newsletter—join us this season!

Spring has sprung! The gardens are being tidied, window boxes filled, furniture dusted, and a great many plans are coming together that are sure to engage the community and visitors in the coming months. Be a part of the 2024 season!

Opening Day is May 26. Join us from 10 am - 4 pm for free admission to the house and help us throw open the doors for another great season. We've got some special guests to give us insights into items in the collection, a barn sale with great deals on new and old items for your own collections, and some yard games to enjoy the grounds.

We've been hard at work preparing for the upcoming season with a collections focus on Sister Mary Veronica (born Ella Sallie McCullough). We've been gathering stories, artwork, and primary research from family and community members, and through visits to the Community of St. Mary's, Bennington Museum, and University of Vermont Special Collections. We will continue to research her life and work as the weeks and months pass;  as Sister Mary Veronica's story continues to unfold we invite you to a sneak peek into all we've found. Please join us in celebrating her work and extraordinary character on June 15 for an Exhibition Opening.

This is the perfect time to sign up for Membership as our seasonal series begin in June! Your member benefits will have the greatest value by joining in the month of May and include discounts on ticketed events, season-long series, and member-only invites. As we are building out our calendar on the website (a work in progress!), the entire season of events and series is available as a downloadable PDF. Print out the CALENDAR and post it for reference. We hope to see you often in the coming months!

We're looking for volunteers! Will you join us? We need help in the following areas: public and private events; organization and tracking of the collection and archives; interacting with visitors whether in the Museum Shop or as a docent; cleaning; gardening; maintenance; and marketing. Join a fantastic team of dedicated and talented individuals who are valued for the skills they bring to the organization. Bonus!: after 16 hours of logged volunteer time, you will be awarded a Sustainer Membership! Visit the volunteer page on our website to learn more.

Thank you for your continued interest in the Park-McCullough, Historic Governor's Mansion and our mission to preserve, conserve, and restore our buildings, grounds, and collections to share with the public for education and enjoyment. Please join us for this exciting season!
