The Park-McCullough House in North Bennington is turning 160 years old, an anniversary celebrated by free admission and a host of initiatives designed to reestablish the national historic landmark as a site of living history and collective experience.

Museum Director Polly Raine and Director of Philanthropy Mike Rice have set forth a quartet of initiatives designed to remove barriers to access, invest in digital tools for enhanced on-site and remote visitor experience, strengthen the site’s role as a civic gathering space and to collect and preserve local voices by establishing a community archive. It’s all part of a vision and commitment “ensuring that the historic site remains accessible, relevant and rooted in the people who gather, remember and shape its future,” according to association literature.
